I recently purchased a Glock 20 Gen 5 10mm pistol. I now have about 350 rounds of target and 50 rounds of dangerous animal ammo through it. The specs on the pistol for tigger pull is 5,5-6.5 lbs. It feels a little heavy to me, but this is my first Glock. I had one of the guys at my local range measure it and he claimed it was over 7lbs. The pistol will be carried in either a chest holster or a shoulder holster depending on my activities in the field. Since it is not a race or competition pistol I do not want a 3.5lb trigger, so what would you recommend? I have an appointment with a gunsmith on Monday. Thanks,

We used the standard Glock 5.5 lb. trigger on all of our service pistols. That is a good pull weight.

There's more to it than poundage. There's the quality. For ME, that's the biggest reason for running a 1911.

I don't claim to be a Glock guru. I've tried a 29 and a 40. Meh....

But, with the growing number of 1911DS/2011's, the 10mm 1911 platform is giving us more options.

You may have seen my DS WARRIOR posts. I really don't like the gun. I hope that Kimber will come out with a 4"/4.25" model.

I had a Dan Wesson 10mm and couldn’t get it to feed reliably. The Glock seems to eat anything but it is still a pistol and subject to Murphy’s law. Looking for a .45 colt DA revolver.

Sorry to hear about your DW experience. I have 2 DW's and they can handle anything. Here's my VBOB 10mm shootin some Underwood 140 Extreme Penetrators @1500 fps.
