Looking for a Redhawk

I am looking for a gun dealer that has a Ruger Redhawk 5050 in stock. I like the idea of being able to carry .45 Colt in the field but shoot .45 ACP at the range. I would like to actually hold one to determine if I am comfortable with carrying every day in the field. I live in the McCall area and we go to Boise almost every month.

It’s smart to actually hold a revolver before deciding. Some look good on paper but feel completely different when you grip them, yunno? especially if you’re planning to carry it regularly out in the field.

Agreed! Unfortunately I can’t even find one in the LA area. I will be headed back to Idaho in a couple of weeks and several Gun Stores seem to have them.

I don't know if you are interested in a .45 Colt Anaconda, but Bud's Gunshop is having a sale until July 1.

What is the difference between a .45 colt and a ,45 long colt?

There is actually no .45 Long Colt. Some folks use that name to distinguish between.45 Colt, .45 Schofield, and later .45 ACP. You will get arguments from people about nomenclature, but the correct name is .45 Colt.
