Are .32 revolvers back?

I had an itch for a Ruger 101 in .327 Federal Magnum, but when comparing the bullets available for reloading, went with the .357 instead. The .327 holds 6, the .357 only holds 5. Still a nice little revolver.....

I carry the Ruger SP101 while working around the ranch. My wife was wanting a revolver for when she is Mushroom or Berry hunting. I took her to a range and she fell in love with my Ruger. She now carries it with .38 hollow points and I bought a second one as I range deeper in the forest and carry .357 Magnum ammo. It is a sweet very reliable and accurate revolver.

Something to consider if you ever travel to or though Canada, .32 caliber (along with .25 caliber) guns are prohibited..... Don't ask me why, it's Canada....

The LCR 101 is a pretty neat little gun, no doubt about it. I totally get why some folks are drawn to the extra round with the .327 but the ammo availability is a big factor especially if you’re into reloading. The .357 has way more options available and you can usually find factory ammo just about anywhere when you need it. That said, I’ve noticed a growing interest in the .327 lately. Also, the ability to shoot .32 H&R and even .32 Long in a pinch is a great bonus.

That’s a great endorsement for the SP101. It sounds like you’ve got a great setup going on. Her with the .38s and you moving up to the .357 when you’re heading deeper into the woods. It all makes perfect sense. And if she really loved it at the range, that’s what truly matters. A gun that someone is excited to carry and shoot is worth so much more than one that just sits in a drawer because it’s too heavy or has too much kick. The SP101 has definitely earned its reputation for being built like a tank and handling whatever you throw at it. It’s a great choice for working around the ranch or being out in the field where reliability is key.

Just to clarify, mine is a Ruger SP101, 4.2 inch with adjustable sights... (not a LCR)
