I frequently carry a 2.5" Model 19-3 or a 3" Model 13-4, .357 magnum. Can anyone recommend some ammo specifically formulated for these short barrels?

Short barrels usually do best with lighter, faster .357 loads since they burn more efficiently and reduce blast. I'd lean toward 125gr defensive loads or quality .38 +P for carry in those snubs.

Yes, I often carry the "FBI Load" of a .38 +P LSWCHP. I was interested in hearing anyone's personal experience with either Hornady Critical Duty 135 grain, or Speer Gold Dot 135 grain "short barrel" ammo. I have boxes of each and will do a chronograph test when the weather cooperates.

I moved my optic down to absolute co-witness last month. My cheek weld improved right away and my transitions felt a lot faster. It was a really small change in geometry, but it made a huge difference.

So how does that relate to short barreled .357 revolvers?
