I just picked up a Ruger Mk IV pistol. I am amazed at how easily the pistol takes down for cleaning. It is so much easier than the previous iterations. I still need to take it out and check function and accuracy, but I like it so far.

Does anyone have any experience in comparison shooting between the Mk IV and earlier models?

Got to wring out the Mk IV. I only fired 100 rounds but it functioned flawlessly. Accuracy was pretty good, but I am pretty sure I shall replace the trigger. It has a lot of take-up and a bunch of overtravel, and the trigger break is not crisp but rather spongy.

The Mk IV takedown changed the game for me. Sold my Mk III just because cleaning was such a pain. The new one takes me thirty seconds max.

Taking the gun apart now is a breeze. My old Mk III felt like it needed three hands and a bit of luck just to get done. When it comes to accuracy, they're about the same but you end up shooting the Mk IV more because cleaning it doesn’t feel like a chore anymore.
