What was your first handgun? Do you still have it, or did you pass it along? I remember mine vividly and I'd love to know how people feel about their first piece. Share your stories, memories, or even a picture if you've got one!

My first handgun was a .25 Raven. I think I was about 12 or 13 at the time. I don't remember where I found it or what I did with it. I used to carry it in my back pocket.

Well... there are a lot of "firsts".

First one I shot was with my father; a High Standard 9-shot (I have this).

First one I bought with my own money was a Ruger Bisley (old model) in 45 Colt.

First new one I bought was a model 19, 4" blued.

Mine was this S&W Model 27-3 4" .357 Magnum. I bought it in for my first police academy. I came from a non-gun family, so didn't know much about guns except for what I read in the library. This was much less than a 4" Python, so it got the nod. I still have it (and the box and original stocks). The action is incredible.

charter arms bulldog 44spl. Paid 35 dollars for it. traded it for a Buck 110 knife. Traded the knife for a Ruger super single six.
traded the Ruger for a 56 Chevy. sold the Chevy and bought a pre 64 M70 300 mag. everything after that is a blur of many, many guns over the intervening 60 or so years. am at that point where I am going to sell all but a special few.
