Just finished up some load workup for my .308 Win. I'm trying out some new powder and different bullet weights, hoping to find that sweet spot for accuracy. Would love to hear what others are using for this caliber.

Sierra 150g spitzer, or Match King thru 168g. Fed 210match primer, H or Imr 4895, Imr 4064, H Varget. Caution using GI brass, must be 2g lower charge than commercial brass. Not rocket velocity but accy to 600 yd over the match course in M1A.

Just a tip, start with the published minimums and then gradually work your way up. Keep an eye out for any signs of pressure, those little cues can tell you a lot. And don't forget about your seating depth. Keeping it consistent can make a huge difference in your group size.

When it comes to choosing between a bolt gun and a semi-auto, things can get a bit confusing. Bolt guns and semi-auto rifles have their own quirks. For instance, semi-autos often have their preferences when it comes to powder burn rates. It's worth diving into the details to figure out what suits your needs best.
