Welcome. Recommend attending some training and participating in competitive shooting. Really helps and there are many in the sport who will share tips with you.

I tend to haul out about everything to the range. As for what I carry, that all depends on what I am doing and where I am going. In town it is concealed carry with typically a small 9mm like a P 365. In the woods close to McCall it is usually my .357 mag or a .45 acp. Fishing closer to Montana it is either the .45 with solid core or a 10 mm solid core in a chest holster.
