I need advice on finding a reliable hunting scope that won’t break the bank. Under $300 is my limit, but I need something that holds zero and has good clarity for deer hunting. Any brands you’ve had success with?
Older steel tube Weaver K-4, K-6, had one with bad paralax problem; but not so great luck from the service station in Oklahoma. Or Leupold M8 4x, 6x,,, just don't try to change adj once settled in. You might get a surprise. These were good in the 90's when expectations were less than today.
A great deal depends on the distance you expect to shoot. The scope I put on my precision shooter is very different than the one on my 30-30 and the one on my .22.
