My local gunsmith recently pointed out that he’s been getting a lot of Tisas pistols in his shop and he says they’re better than most people realize. Is there anyone here who has one? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

I've had 2 YUKONS . They're ok. The customer service isn't very good. My Yukons were putting big dents in the cases on ejection. I sent it back to SDS. Their "gunsmith" and management said " it's a 10mm. They all do that."
Despite my objection they refused to do anything. They wouldn't even look at that issue.
When I got it back i
checked the extractor tension and found it too tight. A slight adjustment and it was all good to go.

I grabbed a Tisas out of curiosity, and honestly, it surprised me. It’s not perfect but for the price, it was way better than I expected. Mine’s been reliable enough that I kept it around.

What model do you have? I wonder if the Tisas 45s are inherently better because all they had to do is an exact copy of existing designs. I think when they tried getting their 10 mm going they didn't really hit the target so to speak. I've seen a lot of people have issues with their Tisas 10 mills. And like I pointed out, when the company gunsmith says that all 10 mm Dent their cases and even refused to look at the gun, that shows a whole lot about what they call a professional. All they had to do is test the extractor on mine and they could have fixed the problem, but I guess in their eyes I'm qualified as a gunsmith now since I fixed mine better than they did. LOL
