I have a Dillon 550 press I have owned for 35 years or so. It seemed to be getting sluggish and was harder to function the mechanism (not while reloading, just cycling the arm). I stripped it all the way down to component parts, meticulously cleaned and re-lubed everything, and rebuilt the press. I can operate the mechanism now with one finger. I now have it on an annual rebuild schedule.

I'm thinking of getting a turret press for my larger rifle calibers now.

That's probably cheaper than sending it back to Dillon, I don't think they would charge you anything, and would replace any worn parts, but the cost postage probably makes what you did the cheaper option....
